We’re committed to making the beautiful game accessible to everyone, especially those who face social or financial barriers. At Unity Roots we believe football is more than just exercise, it’s a gateway to confidence, connection and community.

By being part of the team, young people gain more than fitness, they develop teamwork, discipline, communication skills and a sense of belonging.

Our flagship grassroots football programme are for boys and girls, we offer weekly coaching, local league matches and player development in a supportive, inclusive environment. Everyone plays – everyone belongs

Thats right for far too long girls from BAME Communities struggle to find opportunities to play in an environment where they can express themselves through sport and more importantly football. There are many barriers that exist today which prevents girls from taking part. With your help we will change the narrative.

We’re proud to champion girls in football, our girls-only sessions create a safe space for young players to grow in confidence, develop skills, and enjoy the game without pressure or judgement.

We use football as a tool to support mental wellbeing. Regular activity, teamwork and a sense of routine all contribute to better mental health. Our coaches are trained to spot signs of low confidence and help players build resilience on and off the pitch.

We understand that many young girls and young women from ethnic minority communities face cultural, religious and social barriers when it comes to joining sports.

At Unity Roots, we are committed to breaking those barriers by creating safe, supportive and culturally sensitive spaces just for girls. Our dedicated girls only teams encourage talent, build confidence, and offer opportunities for players to grow – on and off the pitch.

Through football coaching, mentoring and direct engagement with parents and communities, we help young girls thrive whilst respecting their identity and values.

Our mission is to train a new generation of FA Level 1 Coaches, Referees, and Welfare Officers, with a particular focus on developing local talent and creating safe, supportive environments where all young people can thrive.
